Beer Battered Artichoke Hearts with Sriracha Ranch Dip

INGREDIENTS

  • Vegetable or Canola Oil (enough for 2-3 inches in pan)
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Cup Beer of Choice
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Small can or jar of marinated artichoke hearts (drained and patted dry) or cooked fresh artichoke hearts
  • Sour cream
  • Ranch dip mix
  • Sriracha to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat oil to 375ºF
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, beer, salt, and pepper
  3. When oil has reached 375ºF, dip dried artichoke hearts in batter and place in fryer (work in batches as to not overcrowd the oil)
  4. Fry until artichoke hearts are golden brown. Remove from oil and let drain. Repeat until all artichoke hearts have been fried
  5. For dip, mix ranch packet into sour cream and add Sriracha to taste
